ERGEG consults with the public to gain the views of market participants, consumers and end-users when making policy recommendations to the European Commission.  The responses ERGEG receives  provide the basis for policy recommendations to the European Commission. 

In an attempt to improve its consultation practices, ERGEG has reviewed and updated its original (August 2004) public consultation guidelines in July 2007, and again in March 2009.

To facilitate Stakeholder's planning, ERGEG now publishes a Calendar of future Public Consultations.
