Under the 2003 electricity and gas Directives, national energy regulators must (since 2005) publish an annual report on the outcome of their monitoring activities related to the functioning of electricity and gas markets.

The ERGEG Assessment of Development  of the European Energy Market (2007) draws conclusions from the national country reports.  The individual country reports can be found below in English and in the national language.
