KEY ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR - May 2007 | General issues: | - The South REM has already agreed a concrete Action Plan for the coming two years.
- Several IG and SG meetings have taken place and different deliverables set up by the work plan are on track.
| Priority I: Interconnection Capacity |
- The analysis of the current status of the interconnection infrastructures was presented by TSOs at the 2nd SG meeting in February 2007.
- Work on new infrastructure needs is going on and a first report for the period 2007-2010 has been already discussed. A second paper will cover investment needs for 2007-2015.
| Priority II: Interoperability | - The French and Spanish NRAs have undertaken a joint study on interoperability problems at the Spanish-French border and an Interoperability WG has been set up for this purpose. A first meeting was held on April 17th and agreed steps are available at this meeting’s folder.
| Priority III: Transparency | - The French and Spanish regulators both are working on a report on the current level of transparency in the region.

| Priority I: Interconnection Capacity | The analysis of the current status of the interconnection infrastructures has been issued by the TSOs.
A study on new infrastructure needs is being undertaken, in two steps: 1st stage in the period 2007-2010 and a 2nd stage during the 2007-2015 period. The SG is being consulted about new interconnection needs.
